Once again there was near capacity crowd for the second prayer gathering at Parliament for 2013.  Prayer@Parliament has become a National Event.  There were representatives from Auckland, Tauranga, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Palmerston North, Hamilton and usually from Masterton.

The Grand Hall of Parliament rang out with the praises of God.  The prayers were fervent, meaningful and inspirational.  There were 3 Prayer Tracks:

  1. Youth of the Nation was led by Ps Levi Marychurch, the Youth Pastor of Arise Church, one of the largest churches in the Capital with hundreds of young people.
  2. Seven Sectors of Society – Government, Church, Education, Family, Media, Entertainment and Business.  Strong committed Christians with competence in their respective sectors led prayers from the front.
  3. Gospel and Government led by Ps Rasik Ranchord.  He stressed that the Gospel is our first responsibility but we need to balance it with our responsibility to Government as Paul shows in Romans chapter 1 and chapter 13.

The next Prayer@Parliament will be on Thursday 13th September 2013
