The Grand Hall of Parliament was almost filled to capacity as Christians from almost every major denomination from all over the Wellington Region attended the Gathering. People even came from the Wairarapa and one mighty woman of prayer, Catherine Hollister-Jones who has been a missionary in India for 35 years flew all the way from Tauranga to especially attend the Gathering. It was a great privilege to have her participate in prayer.

The Prayer Tracks were on:

Those who participated from the front were:

  • Brian Caughley, Chester Borrows MP (Parliamentary Host);
  • Pastor Rasik Ranchord (Convenor)
  • Jonathan Young MP
  • Tim Macindoe MP
  • Tricia Caughley
  • Pastor John Cameron
  • Pastor Lalita Ranchord
  • Pastor Hamish Thomson
  • Commissioner Donald Bell (Salvation Army)
  • John Jamieson (former Commissioner of Police)
  • Francis Burdett (CEO of Bible Society)
  • Pastor Nick Field (The Street City Church)

An offering was received for the people of Christchurch which was given to the Salvation Army. The amount was $1,802.00. Everyone had opportunity to pray also in small groups.

The next Prayer @ Parliament gathering is on Thursday 16th June 2011.
